Avocado Salsa

Skip the mayo or gravy, this creamy, paleo Avocado Salsa is purely veggies, so it’s healthy to add an extra dollop to your burgers or pork chops.

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Yields: 2 cups


6 tomatillos

½ red onion

4 cloves garlic

1-2 Serrano peppers

¼ cup cilantro

juice of one lime

2 avocados

1 teaspoon salt


1Remove the skins from the tomatillos and quarter. Cut the onion and pepper into large chunks.

2Place the tomatillos, onion, garlic, peppers, cilantro and lime juice in a food processor. Pulse until smooth.

3Add the avocado and salt and pulse, until it reaches your desired consistency.

4Transfer to a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to blend.


This goes great on our Grilled Anaheim Turkey Burger.

It’s also great on chicken, fish, pork or steak
