Every time we make this, we get loads of compliments and people always ask for the recipe, which is why we're declaring it the best grilled shrimp on the planet.
2 pounds shrimp (shells on, deveined)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1Combine all ingredients, and toss to coat.
2Grill on high, turning once until charred and pink, about 3 minutes per side.
3Peel and eat.
Grilling shrimp in the shells keeps the meat juicy. Plus, when you serve this at a party, people have to peel it, which forces them to slow down and enjoy every last bite.
The ingredient that puts this over the top is the sesame oil. You can find it in the Asian aisle of most supermarkets.
