Shallot Herb Sauce

Serve steak like a fancy restaurant with a drizzle of shallot herb sauce. Fresh herbs, garlic + a kick of acidity take any grilled meat from good to great.

  • Prep: 5 mins


2 cloves garlic

2 tablespoons shallot

1 tablespoon fresh thyme

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary

1 cup fresh cilantro or flat leaf parsley

1 teaspoon kosher salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons white wine vinegar

juice of 1 lemon

½ cup olive oil


1Pulse everything except for the olive oil in a mini chopper.

2Add in the olive oil and pulse to combine.

3Let the flavors marry for at least one hour.


You can use fresh cilantro or flat leaf parsley for this recipe. We prefer cilantro, but for those who aren't fans of the citrusy herb, go with what your taste buds like.
