Here’s What’s Happening at #TheJack

Hello from Lynchburg, Tennessee. I’m here all weekend for the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue (AKA “The Jack”) where 74 U.S. teams and 22 international teams will be competing in 7 categories for the coveted title of Grand Champion.

Schedule of Events

2017 Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue Agenda

I started my trip in Nashville Thursday with the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group at the Fontanel Mansion. The group woke up early Friday to ride from Opryland to Lynchburg.

Friday afternoon, I’m touring the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Then at 4 p.m. EST, I’ll be cheering on the parade of teams as they take on the Town Square. Friday night, the party kicks off at Barbecue Hill.

Saturday is when things get serious. Pits will be fired up as the teams give it there all. I’ll be among the judges, tasting the best barbecue in the world to help select the Grand Champion. It’s a hard job, but somebody’s got to do it. Right?
