martini glass filled with smoked cosmoplitan on gray background

Cosmopolitan martinis are traditionally made with vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and triple sec (an orange liqueur). But this is a smoked cosmopolitan, so instead of the triple sec, it calls for orange-infused smoked simple syrup.

You get the same citrus kiss with an umami aroma that tickles your senses as you take a sip.

Here’s a link to the smoked simple syrup recipe. This drink uses orange rind as a flavor infuser. Have fun experimenting with many other combos to create fun martinis like a lemon drop martini using a lemon rind smoked simple syrup or an espresso martini using coffee bean-infused smoked simple syrup.
