One thing I love most about shrimp is that it can be prepared super fast. I always keep a couple of frozen bags in the freezer, so I can make a quick dinner after a long day at work or whip up a fancy appetizer for surprise guests.

You can take a bag straight from the freezer and thaw it under cold water in about 5 minutes. Add another 15 to add a marinade and less than 10 on the grill, and dinner is served.

Shrimp does a beautiful job at absorbing flavors, which is why this marinade is so good. Tabasco sauce is already punched with heat, umami, acid and sweetness. All you need to do is add a little fresh thyme to brighten things up.

Then, slide the shrimp onto some skewers. If you use metal, you’re good to go. If you use wooden skewers, soak them while you marinate the shrimp, so they don’t burn up on the grill.
