Grilled Aussie Grassfed Flat Iron Steak Tacos

Weeknight meals can't get any easier. After an easy overnight marinade, you can grill up tender, flavorful steak tacos in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Aussie grass-fed flat iron steaks
  • 2 cloves cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a zip-top bag and marinate at room temperature for 2 hours or in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the meat from the marinade. Grill for 3 minutes per side.

  3. Remove from the grill, and let rest for 10 minutes. Slice the beef against grain.

  4. Serve with tortillas, onions, cabbage and limes.

Tips

When trimming a whole flat iron, cut the beef horizontally. There is a membrane that runs down the center of the cut. Removing this membrane ensures that every bite is taco tender.
