Ninja Grilled Filet Mignon with Mushroom Cream Sauce

- 2 filet mignon steaks
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Mushroom Cream Sauce
- 3 tbsp butter divided
- 6 crimini mushrooms sliced
- 1 tbsp shallots minced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Season: Season the steaks on all sides with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
Heat Grill: Set the Ninja Grill to the grill setting. Set the temperature to medium and the time to 20 minutes.
Grill: Place the steaks on the grill. Cook for 4 minutes. Flip. Cook for 5-7 more minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 130F degrees.
Make Sauce: At the same time, place a baking dish on the grill. Add 2 tablespoons butter. Once melted, add the mushrooms, shallots, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir occasionally. Pour in the broth and cream. Continue stirring. Remove from the heat and stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon butter to thicken.
Finish: Let the steaks rest for 5-10 minutes. Top with cream sauce and serve.
The cook time will depend on how thick/big your steaks are and how often you open the lid.
The grill time is set to more time than is needed, so the grill doesn’t turn off, just in case the cook time takes a minute or so longer than expected.
