Course: Side Dish

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 large Idaho or Russet potatoes
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp kosher salt

Loaded Baked Potato Toppings

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tbsp bacon bits
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp chives chopped

Instructions

  • Heat Grill: Set the Ninja Grill to cook function bake. Set the temperature to 375F degrees and the time to 1 hour.
  • Prep Potato: Clean the potatoes with water. Pierce all over with a fork.
  • Season: Using a basting brush, spread oil all over each potato and sprinkle with salt.
  • Cook: When the grill is ready, place the potatoes on the grill grate and cook until fork tender, about 45-50 minutes. If you have an instant read thermometer, aim for a temperature between 205-210F degrees.
  • For Loaded Baked Potatoes: Run your knife down the center of the potato without cutting all the way through. Push the ends together, so the inside of the potato is more exposed. Add butter, cheese and bacon bits. Return to the grill for 5 minutes. Top with sour cream and chives.

Notes

Nutritional values listed are for a potato topped with butter, cheese, bacon, sour cream and chives.
Each recipe on this site, sets the grill time to more time than the recipe calls for, so the grill doesn’t turn off, just in case the cook time takes a minute or so longer than expected.
The cook time will vary depending on the size of the potatoes. This recipe calls for large potatoes. If you use smaller ones, the cooking time will be shorter.
For loaded barbecue potatoes, top with warm pulled pork or chopped brisket and cheddar cheese. Return to the grill for 5 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
This recipe can be adjusted to cook fewer or more potatoes, as needed.
