Whiskey Toffee
Homemade whiskey toffee bits are so easy to make, and taste so much better than the store bought bag. Try them in cookies!

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp Jack Daniel's Whiskey
- 1 tbsp water
- pinch salt
Place all of the ingredients in a sauce pot over medium high heat. Gently stir, until the butter melts.
Bring the ingredients to a boil. Don't stir it. Allow it to boil for about 8 minutes, or until it turns amber and reaches 300-305F degrees.
Pour onto a lined baking sheet. Chill.
Once it's hard, crack it into pieces.
This recipe makes 1 1/2 cups of toffee chips.
If you prefer not to use whiskey, use 2 tablespoons of water.
If you want more whiskey flavor, use 2 tablespoons of whiskey and omit the water.
