What size ham to buy
Plan on 1/4 to 1/3 pound of ham per person for boneless ham and 1/3 to 1/2 pound of meat per person for bone-in ham. So you’ll need a 5-pound bone-in ham size for 10 people or a 10-pound bone-in size ham for 20 adults.
| Number of People | Size of Boneless Ham | Size of Bone-In Ham |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | 3 pounds | 4.5 pounds |

| 12 | 6 pounds | 9 pounds |
| 14 | 7 pounds | 10.5 pounds |
| 16 | 8 pounds | 12 pounds |

Ham Recipes
When shopping for an Easter ham at the grocery store, read the label. Look for packaging that says smoked and pre-sliced. That will make preparation so much easier. These hams are usually in the refrigerated meat section and are packaged in shiny metallic plastic.
